QA Manager at Tsunami ARVR

We operate in a very fast-paced, technology-driven environment that offers unique, challenging, and varied projects. A typical member of the QA department will work on at least 5-10 projects over the course of a year using platforms and technologies including (but not limited to):

  • Mobile: iOS, Android
  • Web/DB/CMS: NodeJS, MongoDB, SQL
  • Desktop: Microsoft WPF, Adobe Flash, Unreal Engine, Unity
  • VR/Motion Control/Touch: Oculus Rift, Microsoft Kinect, MultiTaction, GearVR

Position

Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

 

  • Design Validation testing
  • Drafting and maintaining Test Plans/Test Scripts
  • Assisting QA Leadership with scheduling, staffing, and project support
  • Manual “Black Box” and “Gray Box” testing, research, and bug reporting
  • Bug database review, maintenance, and triage
  • Drafting status reports, attending meetings, and communicating progress to Production
  • PC hardware configuration, networking, and troubleshooting
  • Configuring and deploying virtual machines (Virtual Box or equivalent) and clean test environments (Acronis True Image or equivalent) in a Microsoft Windows ecosystem
  • Drafting and maintaining technical documentation (User Manuals, Configuration Specifications, etc.)
  • Configuring and deploying test automation tools
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Must be available to work full-time, on-site
  • Experience leading/mentoring individuals and small testing teams through an entire product lifecycle
  • Minimum of 2 years Quality Assurance testing experience with a thorough understanding of QA methodologies
  • Strong understanding of standard software development methodologies and the ability to develop appropriate test parameters for complex local, networked, and distributed systems
  • Excellent, client-facing, written and oral communication skills
  • Strong ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously
  • A proven, well-rounded, hardware/software/AV technical background
  • Experience with version control (Perforce, SVN, Git, or equivalent) and continuous integration (Jenkins, Buildbot, or equivalent)
  • Test automation experience (Selenium, Blueprint, or equivalent) is a plus
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of scripting languages (Lua, Python, or equivalent), SQL, and/or C++ is a plus
  • Bi- or Multilingual is a plus
  • Must be punctual, reliable, flexible, and excellent at balancing multiple detail-oriented projects
  • Must have excellent presentation skills and communication skills (written, oral, internal, and client-facing)
  • Must be team-oriented and self-motivating
